About Me
I'm an early modernist focused on Shakespearean drama. My research concentrates on representations of the military, trauma, and gender/sexuality in English literature. Outside of academia, I have served as a dramaturg on opera and Shakespeare productions.
I earned my PhD in Shakespeare Studies at the Shakespeare Institute, University of Birmingham in 2019. I received my M.A. in English at University College London and my B.A. at Wellesley College.
My book, Shakespeare’s Military Spouses and Twenty-First-Century Warfare (Routledge 2021), examines Shakespeare's military spouses in comparison to modern American military spouses during twentieth-first-century wars. I have also published on The Tempest in Studies in Ethnicity and Nationalism, Othello in Indian Theatre Journal, and Much Ado About Nothing in Much Ado About Nothing and the New Awareness.
